Information HustleLedger Handles
HustleLedger lets you enter and store information such as:
- Income entries, expense entries, jobs, payments, estimates, mileage, reminders, recurring expenses, and categories.
- Customer or client names, notes, quoted amounts, final paid amounts, payment method labels, and business settings you choose to enter.
- Optional company branding, such as a business name and logo.
- Optional local attachments, such as receipt photos or job photos that you select from your device.
- Subscription status information from Google Play Billing.
How Information Is Stored
HustleLedger is designed to work offline first. Your ledger data is stored locally on your device using the app database. HustleLedger does not operate a paid backend, does not use Firestore or remote sync for the MVP, and does not upload your ledger entries, customer names, notes, attachments, or company branding to a HustleLedger server.
If you uninstall the app, clear app data, delete entries, or remove attachments from inside the app, that local data may be removed from the device according to Android system behavior and the app's local deletion behavior.
How Information Is Used
HustleLedger uses the information you enter to provide app features, including:
- Showing dashboard totals, reports, charts, profit calculations, and tax estimate placeholders.
- Managing jobs, payments, reminders, categories, mileage, recurring expenses, and exports.
- Displaying optional company branding in the app.
- Letting you attach, preview, open, export, or share files that you select.
- Checking Premium subscription access through Google Play Billing.
Sharing and Third Parties
HustleLedger does not sell your personal information and does not share your ledger data with advertising networks.
Some features use services or apps outside HustleLedger only when needed:
- Google Play Billing processes subscriptions. HustleLedger receives subscription entitlement information, but does not receive or store your full payment card details.
- If you use export, share, backup, calendar handoff, attachment opening, or similar Android share features, the information you choose may be sent to the app or service you select.
- Android may handle local backups depending on your device settings and Google backup settings.
Permissions
HustleLedger may request or use Android permissions for:
- Google Play Billing, to offer Premium subscriptions.
- Notifications, to show reminders if you enable or allow them.
- File or photo access through Android's document picker, when you choose an attachment, company logo, backup file, or export destination.
HustleLedger only uses selected files for the feature you choose.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or replace it through backup/restore features. You can delete individual income entries, expense entries, jobs, categories, reminders, attachments, and other records from within the app where those features are available.
Because HustleLedger does not maintain a user account system or remote HustleLedger server for MVP data sync, the developer generally cannot access or delete local data on your device for you.
Security
HustleLedger relies on Android's app sandbox and local device protections to help protect data stored by the app. You are responsible for securing your device, screen lock, cloud backup settings, and any exported files you create or share.
Children's Privacy
HustleLedger is intended for side-hustle and small business tracking. It is not directed to children, and the app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as HustleLedger changes. Updates will be posted at this public privacy policy URL.
