ScanBoard is developed by Corry Holt ("developer", "we", "our"). This page explains how ScanBoard handles data when you use the app.
Information We Use
- Camera access: Used only to scan barcodes and QR codes.
- Keyboard/input data: Processed on-device to provide keyboard and scanning features.
- Scan history: Stored locally on your device so you can view, copy, and export recent scans.
- App settings and dictionary: Stored locally to remember your preferences.
- Purchases: Subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing.
Data Collection and Sharing
- ScanBoard does not sell your personal data.
- ScanBoard does not share personal data with third parties for advertising.
- Payment information is processed by Google Play, not by ScanBoard.
- Camera frames are processed on-device and are not transmitted by ScanBoard.
Data Storage and Retention
- Data such as settings, dictionary entries, and scan history are stored on your device.
- You can clear scan history and related app data from app settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes app-local data according to Android behavior.
Children's Privacy
ScanBoard is not directed to children under 13. If you include children in your target audience, ensure your Play Console declarations and app behavior meet Google Play policy requirements.
